Magnifying-glass-clear canary with shards of green reflecting out. Not over-consuming tropical gently fill the nose with sly citrus and fat banana doing a slow, dry strop on brilliant stone. A little petrol adds to the perfection. THIS, ladies and gentlemen, is why I have preached Clarksburg to be THE premier appellation for Chenin Blanc in California for decades. Before Chenin Blanc was cool! I have drank this wine from 70° to 40° and everything in between and it flat-out shines in all directions. Delicate and perfect and yet so mouth-filling. Full and round but impossibly thin while still slutty, seesawing your mouth in all directions against sharp acid, wet sand, and finally, distinct tannins.
