Back from Valle de Guadalupe and wanted something yummy, familiar, friendly and don’t have to think about too hard. This is working perfectly. Yes, it’s a supermarket wine, fuckin sue me. Bright ruby, no sed, big black walnut licorice rust heads in a vegetal direction. Robust sweet cassis and bitter bergamot vie for domination in the mouth before thin tannins and even thinner fruit finish. Lovely wine, just…. well… lovely wine. Simple, but lovely.
