Discovered this label a bit before World of Pinot Noir last year and hadn’t really paid attention to the lineup and came around a corner and BOOM! there they all were pouring! It was very nice meeting the people behind the incredible bottles of wine. They are pouring again this year March 2&3, 2018. It really is the Pinot event of the year–nation-wide. Even if this is too late of notice to attend this year, sign up to be reminded for next year.
In the mouth, layers of meaty cherry and canned peaches compete with a bitter green streak dividing your mind evenly between minerality, vegetal, and tannin. It is serious, and darkens the mood a bit, bringing elegant weight to a smell and feel that at some points can hedge toward cloying.
