Not Thin Vin

Deep purple crimson, with a suitably staining pink edge. A magical cacophony of must and funk tumbles out of the glass–the initial overwhelming wet lead and dog-park breathes out nicely. Tin-can tomato sauce and that Harris Ranch pass-by on I-5 almost smothering a beautiful sweet fruit.

I think Brouilly is the official wine of tacos.

In the mouth, none of that harsh, green-stamp reality often offered in a watery base. This is brilliant rich ripe stuff, sweet and heady with an oily set of tannins coating the tongue. Just a stupidly good wine.
